Olivia Colbert, MSc

As the co-founder of NeurOn Therapeutics, Olivia has been instrumental in the vision and development of our digital platform and our technology. Olivia developed this idea out of her experiences with personal friends’ who had a stroke in the family, and her father. She is PhD candidate at the University of Miami and an F31 predoctoral fellow awarded by the National Institutes of Neurological Diseases and Stroke (NINDS) studying post-stroke recovery in mice affect by cerebral amyloid angiopathy and Alzheimer’s disease. Her experiences led her desire to develop something for humans that would benefit them after stroke. Olivia received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her master’s degee from the University of Miami, and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She has received multiple awards and honors including a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health, a Lois Pope Neuroscience LIFE Fellowship award, Louis J Elsas Research Award in Biochemical Genetics, and others.
